'Transformers' has $55 million day - Entertainment News, Film News, Media - Variety
"Grossing north of $55 million, Paramount's sequel 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' easily scored the best opening day ever for a Wednesday release at the domestic box office."
The previous record was only $44m.
