The 2009 Open Championship - Cink overtakes faltering Watson to win Claret Jug

Ahead on the 18th tee, he drove perfectly and hit what looked like a stiff eight iron at the flag, but went long, took three to get down, and ended up in a tie. Visibly shaken, the 59-year-old winner of eight previous majors got creamed in the playoff, despite the whole world rooting for him.

The Claret Jug goes to Stewart Cink, who birdied 18, compared to Watson's bogey. It is his first major, and will raise his ranking to #9 in the world.
