I look at it this way. Marijuana is medicine, right? And we're about to get universal health care?

Furthermore, it should be prescribed as medicine to everyone, not just the elite few fighting pain and nausea. Medicine is not just about cures, but also about prevention, and smoking marijuana should prevent glaucoma, as well as stress-related illness. Equally important, even if I do get glaucoma, it won't bother me as much if I'm baked.

Looking at it that way, as both preventive medicine and as a legitimate medical treatment of pain and nausea, the ganja should absolutely be covered by the new national health care, and should be available in unlimited quantity to everyone. Free Obama Weed for all! (Not-born-in-Maui Wowie.)
