- Bright Star: 120 theaters; 82% positive reviews. Period drama about the wispy poet John Keats and his secret lover. (He died at 25, so don't expect a happy ending.) Directed by Jane Campion (The Piano),
- I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell: 115 theaters; 25% positive reviews. Raunchy comedy based on the anecdotes of a real-life douchebag named Tucker Max.
