The list is labeled wrong. It should read "the ten greatest movies adapted from books." All of these are considered great movies, but few of them are considered great books.Obviously, if the list were really "the ten greatest books adapted into movies," the top of the list would include Don Quijote, The Complete Works of Shakespeare, The Old and New Testaments, Ulysses, A Tale of Two Cites, Remembrance of Things Past, etc - brilliant books that have been adapted into movies which are nowhere near as good.
