The department of unbreakable baseball records
Nolan Ryan finished his career with about 2800 bases on balls, nearly 1000 more than the next highest guy. How high is that? Let me put it this way. If Randy Johnson could sell his soul to satan in order to experience his entire career again and pitch another 22 years just like the 22 he already has in the bank, he would barely break the record in his 39th year of pitching - and Johnson pitched a lot of innings and allowed a lot of walks when he was a kid! (He once allowed 152 walks in 201 innings).
