2012 kicked ass with $65 million. A Christmas Carol held up well, dropping only 25% to $22 million. Precious was brilliant, finishing fourth in the nation despite being in a mere 174 theaters, and taking in almost twice as much as 2012 per theater. Paranormal Activity crossed the $100m mark - pretty impressive for a film which was created for $15,000.Despite all that good news, the weekend was down a hair from last year, when the latest Bond film opened.
