To be fair, Al Gore won the Nobel Prize for peace, not physics.

He won't be winning those science prizes any time soon, based on his scholastic performance. He scored a mediocre 488 (on a scale from 200 to 800) in the SAT Physics achievement test, and did not do much better (519) in chemistry. He followed that up with a D in Natural Sciences at Harvard.
