Men's hockey: On the first day they created heaven and earth and six goals

And on the second and third days, they rested.

Or, to put it in less biblical terms, the USA took a 6-0 lead over Finland in the first 12 minutes of the game. Instead of tiring themselves out by going for 20 or 30 goals, they just relaxed through the rest of the game, even though Finland played most of the second period short-handed.

The USA is now assured of no less than a silver medal. They will play for the gold against the winner of the Canada-Slovakia game. (Hint: Canada.) I'll root for team USA against the Hosers, but I will root for Slovakia to beat the USA if they somehow find a way to get past Canada. They have already beaten Sweden and Russia, so that would make their country the ultimate Mouse that Roared. What a story: "Unheralded team from presumed fictional country beats all four of the international hockey powers on their way to gold." Talk about a miracle on ice!)
