Minor point, but the university website says her birthdate is 4/24/65, making her 44 now. (She had been listed elsewhere as "February 1965" - without a specific date.)That would make her 21 when she shot her brother, even though the state police report submitted to the DA claimed she was 19. In other words, in the state police's exhaustive 1986 interrogation they never even asked for her driver's license or any other form of legal ID, and never ran her name through the DMV database. Did they even interview her at all during the alleged investigation?
