Weekend Box Office Results for February 12-14, 2010 - Box Office Mojo

Valentine's Day won the Valentine's Day weekend. Not much of a surprise there, but the size of the gross was unexpectedly high. The sap-fest took in $53 million in three days. The Weekend Warrior had predicted $41 million for the four-day weekend. The next two films, also new releases, also did better than expected, taking in as much in three days as they were expected to gross in four.

Avatar finished fourth - which is much better than it sounds, since it only fell 4% from last week.

Dear John fell down and can't get back up again. After beating Avatar last weekend, it couldn't even come close to the Smurf-fest this time around.
