Charlotte Lewis says Roman Polanski also had sex with her when she was 16, and ...

(... inexplicit, but implied ... the same kind of sex as with the other girl)

So Polanski is a serial anal rapist of children? I can't see why he would fear jail time. I hear that the guys who rape children in the ass are the most respected of all inmates.

I'm not sure why Charlotte is coming forward now, but her testimony is legally irrelevant. The event took place in France, where she was above the legal age of consent and considered an adult at 16. You may not agree with that, but the fact is that having heterosexual sex with a 16-year-old is simply not a criminal act in France. Therefore, there is no rape unless he took her against her will.

Moreover, Charlotte was obviously trading her body for a role in Polanski's Pirates, which she was in two or three years after this event took place. Remember, she was a legal adult at the time, and it was her decision to do that, as actresses often do. That's sleazy, but not criminal.

  1. Something's rotten in France, and it ain't Polanski with this one. Let's take a look.

    - She waits until DECADES later to mention this.

    - She waits until his first trial/debacle is over.

    - She waits until he's under house arrest and will have a harder time pursuing legal action against her.

    - She waits until her career is in the dumpster.

Yep, sorry, I'm not buying it for a second. There's absolutely no reason to have waited this long that doesn't involve self-gain. (And, ironically, she could have had MUCH more self-gain in the less-recent past, when charges could still be brought criminally for the rape.)
