Mercer's 2010 Quality of Living survey highlights

Mercer's 2010 Quality of Living survey highlights: which city is the best in the world?

Europe has 16 cities amongst the world's top 25 cities for quality of living. #1 was Vienna, where I lived for two years. I didn't really care for it. I would have a difficult time coming up with even one reason why Vienna would be a better place to live than Austin, where I have also lived in the past. (Unless you are a classical music and high culture devotee, in which case I can name only that one reason.)

The leading city in the contiguous 48 states is San Francisco, which placed 32nd in the world.
