Pujols vs Votto for the triple crown
If only one of them existed, we could be looking forward to the first NL triple crown since 1937. Yup, 73 years ago. The last guy to do it in the senior circuit was Ducky Freakin' Medwick. But the problem for Pujols and Votto is each other. They are 1-2 in all three categories, but can either of them get hot enough to eliminate the other in all three? Pujols has tremendous momentum going - his OPS is 1.353 in August - but Votto is by no means surrendering. He has two dingers today, with the game still in progress as I type.
