Daily Box Office for Friday, August 20, 2010
None of the new films could knock Stallone from the catbird's seat. Vampires Suck finished second, Lottery Ticket third, Piranha 3D fifth, The Switch seventh. None of those were very far from their expected levels. The disappointment of the day was the Nanny McPhee sequel, which grossed less than three million on Friday and finished eighth. Because it's not a Friday-type movie, it will probably move up a couple of places over the rest of the weekend, but it's still likely to disappoint.
