Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - Recap - September 18, 2010 - ESPN

Two MORE homers from Tulowitzki - that's 14 in 15 games.

The Rockies' previous record for HR in a month was 12. Tulowitzki already has 14 - on the 18th of the month!

14 in 15 games ties the MLB record held by Bonds and Albert Belle.

Tulowitzki came into this month with only 12 homers!

If the Rockies make the post-season, Tulowitzki would have a solid case as the MVP, since he would be the man primarily responsible for that. His streak has given the Rockies a comparable streak. Unlike Carlos Gonzalez, Tulowitzki hits almost as well outside of Coors. His HR split is 14-12 and his OPS is only about .100 less on the road. (Gonzalez' HR split is 25-7, and his OPS is a staggering .450 less on the road!!)

Astoundingly, Tulowitzki has ridden his amazing streak to come out of nowhere to challenge the top three guys for the OPS leadership.

Votto 1.025

Pujols .994

Gonzalez .991

Tulowitzki .987
