R.I.P.: Arthur Penn: 'Bonnie and Clyde' director, 88

R.I.P.: Arthur Penn, Bonnie and Clyde director, 88 (obit by Roger Ebert)
All discussion of his career centers on Bonnie and Clyde, but Penn also directed The Miracle Worker, Little Big Man, and other good films. Ebert just mentions Little Big Man in passing, but I love that film. In my review, I called Little Big Man a "Very entertaining film. A hilarious revisionist look at the legends of the Old West, featuring great performances by Dustin Hoffman and Richard Mulligan, and even some heart-rending moments which will get deep inside of you. It's hard to keep your eyes dry when Crabb watches his sweet-natured Indian wife get gunned down at Washita, just hours after giving birth."
