Good for you, Lincecum, ya little squirt, ya! Neither of the pitching stars was at his peak, but this was a key win. Before the game you could have gotten odds as good as 6-1, maybe even higher, for a bet on the Jints to win the series. It has to be about even money now after a Giants victory on the road against the best pitcher in the game.

A lot of people kinda questioned the wisdom of claiming Cody and his .721 OPS in late August, especially after he started 6-for-35 with no power to drop the ol' OPS to a nice even .700, but that pick-up now seems to have been divinely inspired! When the team went on the road in late September with every game critical, Cody started pounding the ball. He had three homers in four games coming down the stretch, and batted .500 in the team's last ten games. He now he has three more dingers in the post-season, including tonight's game in which he single-handedly gunned down Doc Halladay.
