Actor Michael Brea (allegedly) has decapitated his mother with a ceremonial sword

The woman seems to have been hacked to death early this morning by her sword-wielding son during a bizarre religious frenzy in which he screamed Bible passages and made obscure references to Freemasonry. Sources told New York station WPIX that the body was found sliced and decapitated, and a police source said the murder weapon was a three-foot ceremonial Masonic sword.

Neighbors said Brea kept calling for the "architect of the universe," a term used by Freemasons to refer to a supreme being. He kept chanting, "Repent! Repent! Repent!" and he kept asking her if she believed in Jesus Christ, and if she believed in God. She, in response, was simply calling for help.

Michael Brea, is a 31-year-old actor who had roles in "Ugly Betty" and the movie Step Up 3D.
