I think your bet is pretty safe if you took the "over" on that game. If Jason Ford had rushed for 9 more yards, Illinois would have had three hundred-yard rushers in one game - in a freakin' loss! By the way, here's a puzzler for ya: the same Jason Ford averaged 9.1 yards per carry, with a long gain of 9 yards!Here's how it happened: Ford had a run of 62 yards on a lateral from another back who had previously gained two yards. Apparently that run DOES count in his total rushing yards, but does NOT get figured in his long gain. I didn't know it was supposed to be scored that way. Precisely WHY it gets scored that way is a mystery which can't be explained, kinda like the popularity of Rosie O'Donnell.
