Wisconsin and TCU crush the opposition

#7 Wisconsin and #3 TCU crush the opposition, #5 LSU loses
#3 TCU was favored by 44 on the road, but if you took New Mexico and the 44 points, you still lost. Those bookies are no dummies.

Meanwhile, #7 Wisconsin scored 70 or more for the third time this year, and they probably could have come close to 100, but they ran out the clock and scored none in the 4th quarter, despite helding Northwestern to a mere 12 yards from scrimmage.

Given the losses by Boise and LSU, TCU and Wisconsin appear to be headed for BCS rankings of #3 and #5, respectively. (Wisconsin will finish #4 in the human polls, but the computer rankings drag them down a bit.) Since their seasons are over, they can't do anything but wait for the results of other games. In TCU's case, they really need Auburn or Oregon to lose next week. Nothing is more frustrating than being undefeated and #3. As it stands right now, Oregon and Auburn will play for all the marbles, while Wisconsin and TCU will meet each other in the Rose Bowl, which will be the consolation prize. In that scenario, Stanford would end up either playing the Big 12 champs in the Fiesta Bowl or playing the ACC champ in the Orange Bowl.
