Bieber actually dropped back to third on Saturday on Sunday, managing to lose the entire weekend at the last moment, although that is an estimate and it's so close that the standings could change when the numbers are finalized. The weekend turned into a three-horse race, with Sandler, Bieber and Gnomeo all running neck-and-neck on Sunday. Bieber took Friday. Sandler took Saturday. Gnomeo MAY have taken Sunday. (That film and Sandler's film are only $150,000 apart, according to the estimates.)
That Roman Empire thingy was left in the dust by the big three. It did finish fourth, but the final tally was 31-30-25-8, so fourth place was really no factor.
The King's Speech passed The Green Hornet in total gross to date. That might not sound like such a big deal until you realize that The Green Hornet is this year's top grosser - and by a very wide margin.
Which is kind of depressing when you think about it.
But you think that's depressing? Get this: Kutcher is second.
