Layer 8: Time travel may find home in Large Hadron Collider

Time travel may find a home in Large Hadron Collider
"Because time travel is limited to these special particles, it is not possible for a man to travel back in time and murder one of his parents before he himself is born, for example. However, if scientists could control the production of Higgs singlets, they might be able to send messages to the past or future"

Hey, future dudes. If you can communicate with us, could I get the upcoming Powerball winners?

Talk about a project doomed to fail. The scientists seem to miss the obvious point that nobody from the future has sent back any messages. We can probably infer either that mankind will always fail to find a way to communicate with the past, or that their tinkering will destroy the universe, thus meaning that there is no future for anyone to communicate from!
