Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America is About to Get Even More Epic

Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America is About to Get Even More Epic

It will now be 4 1/2 hours long. The existing 4-hour version is, in my opinion, the greatest film ever made. No exaggeration. It would be my choice for #1 if I had to pick just one. Will this additional footage make it better or worse? Beats me. But I know I'll watch the whole damned thing.

My review.

By the way, do not watch the 139-minute North American theatrical cut. It sucks canal water, and not just because of what has been cut, but also because of the ridiculous chronological sequencing of the remaining footage, thus destroying all the film's mysteries, which need to be revealed in a certain order for the film to work properly.
