Rio had an excellent Saturday and finished with $40m for the weekend. (Probably a little less. The Sunday estimate looks like it has been faked by the studio to make the weekend total exactly $40m to the penny. Nothin' suspicious about that.)
Scream 4 started slow and then screeched to a halt. After pulling in four times as much as Hop on Friday, it struggled to beat the bunny on Saturday and Sunday. Although it was expected to contend for the top spot, Scream 4 grossed only a third as much as Hop on Saturday and Sunday.
Redford's history film did quite well relative to the modest expectations. Although in a mere 700 theaters, it finished in 9th place, with about the same average per theater as Scream 4. It grossed more than Your Highness, which was in four times as many theaters!
Your Highness dropped a precipitous 58%, which is particularly alarming since it had a low base to begin with.
