There's not much to add to the basic fact: he's 22 years old and broke the all-time U.S. Open scoring record by four strokes. One of the nicest things about him is that he's so physically ordinary at 5'10" and 160 pounds. He's one of us. If Tiger Woods were not a golfer, he'd look right in place in the NFL. If Rory were not a golfer, he'd look right in place bagging groceries at Safeway. And yet he hits the ball a mile - last year he was 12th on the tour in driving distance.
