Friday Box Office: Hurricane Irene Pounds New Releases; Worst Box Office Weekend of 2011 Ahead?

At the rate it's going, we may have a weekend without a single film in double figures! That hasn't happened since the first weekend of September in 2008, when Nic Cage's Bangkok Dangerous was the unlikely #1 film. (It finished with a mere $15 million. I believe that is the 21st century record for the lowest total gross from a film which was #1 for a weekend.)
