Greinke didn't bring his A game, or even his B, but Braun and the lads had his back today. Braun's HR in the first inning traveled 463 feet, which is about as far as a ball can go without a strong wind or a mile-high altitude. Even Mantle and McGwire would have signed the scorecard on that one. Like Mantle, Braun is an average-sized ballplayer who generates uncanny power. (Braun is 6'1", 210. Mantle was smaller at 5'11, 195, although that was the equivalent of Braun's size in Mantle's generation.)
