Cain and Women - The Godfather's receptionist steps forward

I'm not surprised to hear that the charges against him are probably bullshit, but clearing his name is irrelevant to his fitness for the job. In fact, if you look at the matter objectively, his innocence probably means that he's a worse candidate. As I've mentioned before, the general rule is: the hornier the President, the better. Looking at the Democratic party alone to remove politics from the equation, the five worst Democratic presidents were all sexless or faithful to their wives: Obama, Buchanan, Carter, Pierce, Van Buren. Above them are all the horndogs including the two kings: JFK and Clinton.

Outside the Democratic party? Conservative icon Ron Reagan was a horndog before he settled down with Nancy. Liberal icon Thomas Jefferson was a horndog. The disgraced Nixon was sexless.

The only real exception to the rule is Warren Harding, an incompetent leader who was the Bill Clinton of his day in the bedroom.

So there is no reason to disqualify a guy for being a sexual predator. At best it is irrelevant, and it might even be correlated to success.

What worries me about Herman Cain is not whether he is sexless, but whether he is clueless. I don't worry if he has Warren Harding's morals, but I definitely worry if he has Harding's grasp of the issues.
