State Senate overrides Quinn's veto to allow harvesting of roadkill

""The Illinois Senate Thursday overrode Gov. Pat Quinn's veto of legislation allowing Illinoisans to legally scoop up road kill. In action Thursday, senators voted 52-0 in favor of the proposed law, which is designed to allow people to collect dead mammals found on roadways."

It's almost impossible for a veto to be overridden by a unanimous vote. You'd think one person somewhere would side with his/her governor. Talk about a conflict between the executive and legislative branches!

It is good to know, however, that when a veto is unanimous, it's over something critical to all mankind.
