Kevin Costner? Dick van Dyke? Keanu Reeves?
They missed the usually great Laurence Olivier's hilarious attempt at an American accent when he was slumming it in The Betsy, and Michael Caine's bizarre attempt to sound like he came from Maine in The Cider House Rules. (To Caine's credit, he did sound like he came from Minneapolis, which does start with an M.)
To be fair, I didn't see any great problem with DiCaprio's Rhodesian accent in The Blood Diamond. I can't tell you that every syllable was perfect, but I spent some time working in Zimbabwe, and I think he could have fooled me.
