Screw that. If I were Obama, I'd simply order them destroyed, and I'd do it now, before the courts make a ruling, to avoid any media-fueled constitutional crisis about the separation of powers. And then I'd be totally honest and tell the American people what I did and why. "Hey, there's nothing left to release, and you have only me to blame." Some people will whine about that, mostly to score political points, but some people will whine about anything, and in general reasonable people understand that.

Let's face it, sometimes the U.S. President just has to grow a pair.
