Could Donald Trump Get a Third-Party Win in Texas?

The supporters of business tycoon, Apprentice star and all-around douchebag Donald Trump filed paperwork in Texas to establish the Make America Great Again Party so that "The Donald" might be able to run for president in the Lone Star state.

I'm not sure if Trump's posturing makes any sense at all this time. He says he might mount a third-party candidacy if he feels that the GOP nominee could not beat Obama. Now I'm no expert on politics, but wouldn't a third-party run by Trump split the anti-Obama vote, and thus absolutely guarantee Obama's re-election. If Trump gets enough support, unlikely though that seems, he might even create an unanimous electoral win for Obama. Even ultra-Republican states like Idaho, Utah and Oklahoma could go to Obama if Trump were to split the anti-Obama vote in half.
