The Grey won the weekend, as expected, but also won by a mile, which was not expected. The forecasters thought it might gross around $14-15 million, and it actually cleared $20M.
One for the Money also performed better than expected, but not by much. It took third place with about $12 million. That's a couple million more, and one or two places better, than expected.
Man on a Ledge failed to reach even the most modest expectations. It managed to achieve 3000-theater distribution, but could do no better than $8 million.
