Contraband: #1; $21 million in 2800 theaters. It's Marky Mark and all the usual creepy dudes (Giovanni Ribisi, Ben Foster ...) in an R-rated revival of the ol' "one last job" cliche. It's probably not the "one last time" we'll see it. 48% positive reviews.
Beauty and the Beast 3D: #2; $17 million in 2600 theaters. You all know what this G-rated classic is. Just add another dimension. 91% positive reviews.
Joyful Noise: #3; $15 million in 2700 theaters. Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah are up to some PG-13 gospel-singin 'hijinks. 40% positive reviews.
The Iron Lady: #12; $5 million in 800 theaters. Meryl Streep is Maggie Thatcher doing surprising NC-17 porn scenes with the love god himself, Jim Broadbent. OK, unless you're Rick Perry, and I doubt Rick would be reading my blog, you're probably smart enough to know that I'm bullshitting you. It is Streep playing Thatcher, but it's PG-13. It has received 57% positive reviews.

One last thing ...
I just happened to think how much better these movies would be if Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton played the creepy dudes, while Giovanni Ribisi and Ben Foster sang some family-oriented gospel tunes.
