I tip my hat to Tina Fey and her team on this one. It's a brilliantly written piece of comedy and schmaltz which skewered Jim Carrey (mocking himself), The Santa Clause, A Christmas Carol, Valentine's Day, The Sound of Music, and even (out of left field) Indecent Proposal. Replete with crazy non-sequiturs and surreal flashbacks, it plays out more like an episode of Family Guy, but the technique works fine with the 30 Rock characters.
