The only real bad news for Obama is that he seems to be on his way to losing Ohio, and runs about even with Santorum or Romney in the other Rust Belt swing states (Wisconsin, Iowa, Pennsylvania)
On the other hand, he runs far ahead of the GOP candidates in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico.
The other key point to take away from the poll is that Zombie Gingrich, declared dead so long ago, but still functioning, is no longer undead. We can probably declare him dead now. Can he re-animate once again? Doesn't seem possible. President Obama beats him 52-32 in the swing states. Gingrich runs as well as Santorum and Ron Paul nationally, but is disastrously weak in these key states.
Romney clobbers Obama in Ohio, for example, and both Santorum and Paul lead Obama in Ohio by a small amount within the margin of error, but Gingrich runs far behind the president even there.
Romney, Santorum and Paul run even with Obama in the Rust Belt group, but Gingrich loses by 13 points.
I can't see any way for Newt to dig out of this one.
