Santorum is the big winner in Missouri and Minnesota

Santorum is the big winner in Minnesota and Missouri

The Missouri primary don't mean jack-squat, but it does confer some braggin' rights, and Santorum got 'em all. As I type this he has rung up a pretty spectacular 55% of the votes. Gingrich was not in that one, so Santorum was able to get all the true social conservatives in his corner. It demonstrates what the conservatives could do if they would stop splitting the vote and choose one guy to stop Romney. Of course, that's easy to recognize in principle, but good luck getting either Gingrich or Santorum to step aside.

Santorum also made a great showing in Minnesota, where he had to split the conservative vote with Gingrich and still came up with 46% (to 10 or 11% for Newt). Ron Paul also did very well there with 27%. If you're scoring at home, that means Romney made a very poor showing. He got only 17% of the votes.
