Wings set NHL record with 21 straight wins at home

The Detroit Red Wings set the all-time NHL record with 21 straight wins at home

Very few people are still alive to remember when the record of 20 was set in the 1929-30 season. If you were 17 then, you're 100 now.

The teams only played 22 home games in 1929-30, so that 20-win streak made the Boston Bruins' overall record look mighty impressive. On their home ice they won one, then lost one, then won 20. They weren't so bad on the road either (17-4-1).

But they were swept in the Stanley Cup finals!
