Writers Guild honors 'Midnight in Paris' and 'The Descendants' | Inside Movies | EW.com

Writers Guild honors Midnight in Paris (original) and The Descendants (adapted)

Whatever else you say about Woody Allen, there is no denying that he is one of the most productive writers of all time. He has 26 movies rated 7 or higher at IMDb, and 21 more rated in the 6s. He has 15 nominations for the best original screenplay Oscar (only 2 wins, and none since 1987).

And that's only his good stuff.

I'm not sure how to compare novels to screenplays, but he's gotta be up there with Tolstoy in the lifetime word count.
