In the opening moments of this marathon competition, we saw two #15 seeds defeating 2s. That held out the promise of the unexpected, but in the final analysis, the result was completely predictable. Kentucky was the pre-tourney #1, and they finished the tourney in the same spot. Nobody came within 10 of them before the Final Four had been decided, and the 'Cats started the championship game with a 41-23 lead. Let's face it, no other team can say "we wuz robbed." The best team won.
What's most intimidating to the competition is the fact that Kentucky fielded the youngest team in the tournament, starting three frosh and two sophs. I suppose that many of those guys will leave before graduating, because that is the way of the world, but if they don't ...
