For reasons all too clear to all of us, Batman underperformed at $161M. (That's still the record for a 2D film, but estimates were 15-20% higher.) Almost every other film fell more steeply than in a normal weekend, not just because of the general air of uncertainty, but also because just about all of them lost theaters to accommodate Batman's roll-out. The chart is filled with 60% drops; Spider-Man dropped 69%; Katy Perry 70%.
