New Movies In Theaters This Week (Rotten Tomatoes)


The Bourne Legacy - 60% positive reviews. You know what this is. It will be in about 3700 theaters and is expected to finish in first place with a gross around $40 million this weekend.

The Campaign - 66% positive reviews. Will Ferrell and Galifianakis as rival politicians in a war of dirty tricks. It will be in some 3200 theaters and should finish second with a gross in the mid-twenties.

Hope Springs - 79% positive reviews, but targeted toward women over 30, perhaps WELL over 30. This one opened Wednesday and managed to edge out Total Recall for second place behind the Bat. It's a romantic dramedy starring Streep and Tommie Lee. It will hit 2300+ theaters and is expected to gross in the low teens, good enough for fourth. (Batman should finish third for the weekend.)

Nitro Circus: The Movie 3D - 13% positive reviews. Similar to Jackass. It will be in about 800 locations and should crawl into tenth with a gross in the neighborhood of $2m, but who knows? Those Jackass movies always did much better than expected, so ...
