Why is this interesting?
Two reasons:
(1) Minnesota came into the game 6-8 in the Big 10, and 3-8 in their last 11 games!
(2) It means that Gonzaga could very well be the #1 team in the country, which certainly must be mentioned somewhere in the Book of Revelations as a sign of the end times. The Zags are 26-0 against unranked teams, but have not played a top twelve team all year. They have played against three teams ranked #13-#25, and have managed only a 1-2 record against them, with their only win being a one-point victory against #22 (at the time) Oklahoma State.
The Minnesota victory, the Penn State victory and the Gonzaga ranking simply reflect the fact that there are no dominant teams in college hoops this year.
