Who got screwed? Virginia. They are probably one of the best 40 teams in the country. (Sagarin ranks them 38th.) They beat Duke. They beat Wisconsin in Wisconsin. They did not get in at all.

Unusual? The defending champs, Kentucky, didn't make the tournament. What happened? Their top six players from last year are now in the NBA!

WTF? The Liberty Flames made the tournament by winning their crappy conference, although they finished tenth in the conference during the regular season. They lost 20 games during the season - against one of the easiest schedules in the nation (308th hardest out of 347 teams according to Sagarin). Sagarin rates them 260th in the nation while RPI ranks them 287th.
