Well, #1 Gonzaga lost to Wichita State, but that was really no surprise. Many people predicted that result. The Western Region bracket has been crushed. Numbers 1, 3, 4 and 5 have lost. The bracket is so bereft that Wichita State, a nine seed which has won two upsets, will actually be favored to win their first game in the sweet sixteen! They will be playing either a #12 or a #13 seed (Ole Miss or LaSalle).

Oregon, which as I have pointed out was radically underseeded at #12, won their second successive upset to make the sweet sixteen. They have beaten a #4 and a #5, but Louisville is next.
