2013 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 6

2013 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 6
Nothing much to report. Georgia and LSU swapped places, more or less, based on their head-to-head contest.

Notre Dame and Wisconsin dropped out of the top 25, but they were already near the bottom of the list.

There are no teams in the polls' Top 25 with more than one loss, although Sagarin still lists Wisconsin in the Top 25 in his computer rankings. (You might fairly argue that the Badgers did better than expected against OSU, and thus could have gone UP this week, not down. The computers are sensitive to matters like that, even if the human voters are not.)
Mystery of the week, and its solution:

How could Houston Baptist be rated fourth-last last in the nation despite a 2-1 record? What about the teams they beat?

Answer: they beat teams from outside the BCS group. In their only game against a real team, they lost by 74 to Sam Houston State, which in turn lost by 37 to Texas A&M.
