It's Denver and Seattle

It's Denver and Seattle
It wasn't a great year if you love underdogs. The four best teams (well arguably) made it to the championships, and the two best teams made it to the big show. Many people predicted this match-up as far back as the pre-season.

This will mark the first time that the two #1 seeds have faced off in the Super Bowl since 2009 when The 14-2 Colts, led by the same Mr. Manning, lost to the 13-3 Saints.

The total of 26 combined wins by Denver and Seattle has been bested in only five previous Super Bowls.

2009, as mentioned above

2004, when the 14-2 Patriots beat the 13-3 Eagles.

1998, when two 14-2 teams faced off. (The Broncos defeated the Falcons.)

1991, when the 14-2 Redskins defeated the 13-3 Bills.

1984, when the 15-1 Niners bested the 14-2 Dolphins.
