New Movies In Theaters May 2 - Rotten Tomatoes

There is an obscure Elizabeth Banks comedy in a whopping 51 theaters, but the only significant opening this weekend stars your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man (56% positive reviews), who will be in more than 4300 theaters, just short of the record of 4468.

It's the first weekend of May (doesn't feel like it here, where it is still apparently March), so people are supposed to act all summery and check out a super hero movie, because Spidey is expected to gross close to $100 million.

The Elizabeth Banks movie is expected to gross exactly twelve dollars, maybe less if Elizabeth's mom goes to a matinee and gets a senior discount.
