When I was in college I ran for student government on the platform of eliminating student government.

I think I received about 100% of the vote, maybe even a little more, since the voter fraud controls were so lax they would have embarrassed Mayor Daley, but I was disqualified because that election was held in the spring of my senior year, to determine the following year's student officers, so seniors were actually not eligible to run. I pointed out that the "no seniors" rule was irrelevant since student government would be abolished, so my presence would not actually be needed the following year, but my logic was harshly rejected, so the student government once again had to shoulder the onerous burden of choosing the theme for the prom, in addition to their usual meaningless dithering.
